YOGA, Meditation and WHOLISTIC MOVEMENT CLASS SCHEDULE

The word Yoga means “to join together." It brings the body & mind together into one harmonious experience. The system of Yoga is built on three structures: exercise, breathing & meditation. Regular daily practice of all three parts of these produces a clear, bright mind and a strong, capable body.

Yoga is designed to put pressure on the glandular systems of the body, thus increasing its efficiency & total health. The body is looked upon as the primary instrument in life, and is treated with great care and respect. Breathing techniques are based on the concept that breath is the source of life in the body. Yoga helps increase breath control to improve the health and function of both body & mind. These two systems of exercise and breathing then prepare the body and mind for meditation to find silence and healing from everyday stress.

Please remember to attend your class 10 - 15 minutes early to complete a registration form.


Refunds are issued only for withdrawals prior to start of the class, less a 10% processing fee. We will not offer credits for missed classes or programs after program start date.

YOGA & WHOLISTIC MOVEMENT CLASSES

 

All programs are held at: 900 Haddon Ave, Station House, Collingswood, NJ

unless otherwise noted.

 

Registration is required, preferably one week prior to program start date.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, checks, or cash.

Please make all checks out to “Lourdes Medical Center.”

 

LP2 is located at 1049 Haddon Avenue on the second floor.

There is a stairway entrance on the side.

Space at LP2 is limited, so please register as early as possible.

Yoga for Beginners

6-7pm

4-week series

Mondays, 6/30-7/28; 8/4-8/25

$48 Pre-paid / $53 at the door

Instructor: Barbara Moeller, MA, CYT, RYT

This "easy-does-it yoga" will gently stretch, strengthen and open your entire body from head to feet. You'll learn basic warm-ups, postures and breathing techniques, breaking them down into simple and accessible movements. Each session will close with deep relaxation.

Basic Yoga

5:30 - 7 pm

5-week series, Tuesdays, 7/1-7/29 $60 Pre-paid/ $65 at the door

This class is a workout for the mind, body and spirit that brings inner and outer balance through stretching, breath-work, and meditation.  Yoga promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and calms anxiety.  Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a towel or mat.

Stress Release Yoga

7:30-9 pm

Stress release yoga will provide you with dynamic yoga postures and breathing techniques especially sequenced to generate stress release and offer deep relaxation.

T’ai Chi Chuan

Instructor:  Morris L. Siegel, RN, MA, CHy    

T’ai Chi Chuan, an ancient Chinese martial art, consists of a series of slow, flowing, meditative movements that massage the internal organs.  Time magazine recently called T’ai Chi “the perfect exercise” because these calming and graceful movements improve strength, agility, increase coordination, flexibility and balance, reduce stress and help you relax.  Perfect for all ages and any fitness level. 

 

Total Body Workout

This program includes low-impact aerobics, stretching and weight training. This workout will challenge your cardiovascular system and help improve your strength and posture, while reducing your risk of injury.

 

Summer Salsa
