Yoga & Wholistic Movement Classes
Lourdes Wellness Center offers a variety of health & wellness classes ranging from one-evening workshops to
10-week series all focusing on mind, body and spirit.
With an array of classes that include everything from yoga and shiatsu to smoking cessation and stress management to art journaling and spiritual direction - we are certain to offer something that appeals to every individual.
Yoga
The word Yoga means "to join together" and it brings the body and mind together into one harmonious experience. The whole system of Yoga is built on three main structures: exercise, breathing, and meditation. Regular daily practice of all three parts of this structure of Yoga produce a clear, bright mind and a strong, capable body.
The exercises of Yoga are designed to put pressure on the glandular systems of the body, thereby increasing its efficiency and total health. The body is looked upon as the primary instrument in life, and is treated with great care and respect.
Breathing techniques are based on the concept that breath is the source of life in the body. The Yoga helps increase breath control to improve the health and function of both body and mind.
These two systems of exercise and breathing then prepare the body and mind for meditation, and the student finds an easy approach to a quiet mind that allows silence and healing from everyday stress.

Wholistic Movement
Wholistic movement involves a cultivation of activity for the whole person...body, mind, and spirit. Wholistic movement is an ongoing journey toward balance and harmony. We are more than just the body...We are more than just the mind... We are body, mind, and spirit. Wholistic Movement includes but is not limited to Yoga, T'ai Chi, Pilates, Strength Training, Total Body Workout and other movement classes.
Please remember to attend your class 10 - 15 minutes early to complete a registration and client physical activity form.
Refunds are issued only for withdrawals prior to start of the class, less a 10% processing fee. We will not offer credits for missed classes or programs after program start date.
Rates are listed on class schedule. Drop-Ins are always welcome at the following rates:
- Yoga: 1.5 hrs: $18; 1 hr:$15
- Tai Chi: $12
- Exercise: $12
